Dear Boys; Take Six

Dear G,
I know people
They want to date you.
Thanks for keeping waffles going
And being my friend.
Love,
Kelene

Dear Awkward,
We have the best hugs.
And we finally learned how to high-five.
Do you want a belly rub?
Love,
Kelene

Dear Ugly,
Thanks for letting me get that off my chest
And being a good sport.
I think you are awesome.
Love,
Kelene
PS- You're not ugly

Dear Amigo,
I really need to study.
I'm sorry.
But on the bright side you are awesome
And I love being friends with you
And the fact you hate zombies too.
Love,
Kelene

Dear Quoi,
So you are super cool
And it's kind of dumb we haven't been friends before
And I think it is hilarious how many points you have.
Let's play CoD.
Love,
Kelene

Dear Infected,
Don't die.
But really.
Let's be real friends.
Not fake friends or almost friends or quasi friends.
I want to be your friend.
And that's all, for now.
Love,
Kelene

Dear Glasses,
You are the nicest person I know.
And you could be a force to be reckoned with.
Let's go shopping.
Love,
Kelene

Dear Wardie,
You are here
Just because.
I like your hair
And your face.
Maybe I'll talk to you this week.
Wistfully,
Kelene

This summer I realized I have some dang good friends.
You probably aren't cooler than them.
(Unless you're T.Harm)

The Dog Days of Summer

Yeah, summer is pretty wonderful.
I'm always looking for fun/interesting/dumb/random things to do. And I manage to find them pretty well.

For example, I went to my friend's dance performance, Dancing with the (our student's) Stars. He danced the Mambo with a teacher from the Logan School District! It was super fun to watch. It's only recently that I realized how much I enjoy watching people dance.

Then T. Harm came to visit (and by that I mean to get her running shoes) and we checked out the new health food store that opened in Logan. We will definitely be going there often.

(Also, Elderberry extract)

And Andrea and I went on a picnic at First Dam!

We fed geese by hand. It was great.

And every Wednesday is Waffle Wednesday!!! We takes turns hosting, but we invite random people and often play games afterwards. Or go swing dancing. Whichever is more appealing at the time.

Also, Andrea stole my phone and took many many pictures with it.

Once upon a time I found this plastic pink flamingo. And I took the most dramatic photo available at that time.

The last big thing that has happened recently was a wonderful trip to Bear Lake on Memorial Day.

It was a gorgeous day. The water was stunning and we were awesome.

Michael was a mermaid,

 I was an ice-cream cone,

And Matt was eaten by a shark.

We made a sweet sand castle, code name: Helm's Deep.

And finished it off with Raspberry (and other) shakes at La Beau's.

So it's good. And I'm getting really close with all my mission stuff. Just a few more things and I'll have something new to tell!

Love you all, thanks for reading!

The Final Finals Week (AKA the longest blog post ever)

Well. It's over. School is done for two ridiculously long years. It's kind of scary. And a little bit insane. But it's all good.

As finals week entered, I got a wonderful package from my parents, and I learned to play Call of Duty.

I got really into my painting (which Nate proceeded to steal within an hour of me finishing it).

I said good-bye to one of my favorite workers (we told him to make the creepiest face he could)

We went to First Dam and played frisbee, tag football, messed around in the water, and had a water gun war (more like an ambush!):

(We also saw baby geese!)

I got this gorgeous new dress from Desert Industries for just $6!

Then, to celebrate the actual official end of finals, we went out to eat at the Mongolion Grill, Hu Hot:

(We may have had a little too much fun!)

And I said good-bye to two years of Moen Hall. It was emotional, I won't lie.

But then I moved in to my new place! And with super awesome friends, went raiding on South Campus:

The Loot:

And *drumoll* I finally drove on that sidewalk! I've been wanted to for ages. And then we dropped things off at the engineering building. And I took the opportunity!

Then, on Sunday afternoon I invited all the guys over for fancy root beer floats, gourmet homemade pizza, and tons of games:

We played Munchkin, and it ended up being Lord of the Rings. Chris and I had a truce, and then I ended up a dwarf, and he an elf (Gimli and Legolas!) and then Matt was a Thief and a Halfling with a gold ring. (I totally lost)

And what would any game night be without Bohnanza? (I totally won)

It's been an incredible start to summer. Seriously. I'm so grateful for friends, and good grades (3 A's, and 1 A-!), and a fantastic job, and worthy priesthood holders, and new friends, and exciting times.

I am a leaf on the wind, watch how I soar.
