Winter is Here :)

Well hello there gorgeous. How are you? Welcome back to my blog.

First of all, I have two new blogs!
"Kelene. Why on earth do you have two new blogs?"
Well, One of them is HILARIOUS filled with This is How I Feel, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The other is my new Business Blog because some people that want to know about my life don't give a darn about business. But I like it. Deal with it.

Speaking of which, I got this flippin' sweet shirt from the Women in Accounting meeting and since I am only friends with engineers, NO ONE GOT IT. I was terribly sad, but it still cracks me up. Now I just need "Accounting is my LIFO" shirt.

Alos, my dear car Lloyd didn't make it past the first round of winter, and I was lucky enough to have some wonderfully mechanically inclined friends to help me out. A new battery later and everything is dandy.

My work is pretty cool, and sometimes we have crew parties at midnight, after we finish our shifts. So we went bowling. It was my first time in almost 3 years, and I bowled a 108!!!

Speaking of work, this is Boone. He makes my life better. Especially when he eats blue frosting and stains his teeth and tongue for the rest of the shift.

And ever since I got my act together and went shopping for groceries (for the first time since the beginning of the semester) I've been cooking like CRAZY. I forgot how much I love it! Not to mention, I cooked and ate fish for the first time of my own free will. It was pecan-encrusted tilapia, and pretty dang good, if I do say so myself! I also had chicken burritos with homemade flour tortillas, as well as some super delish chicken and dumplings.

Sometimes Taylor Harman and I are awesome and decide to ride in a trunk. We might be a tad crazy :) But it was awesome. I'd recommend it 9/10 times. But not if you are kidnapped. Yeah, don't do that.

And my Spanish buddy Daniela reminded us that there was happy hour (flat rate) at a fro-yo place every weekday between 3 and 6. Of course we had to go!
I really want to have an engineering competition to see who can get the most weight for their $3.50 in one go.

My loverly parents came to visit me and brought me my beautiful bass (Lavarre) and some fun goodies. It was amazing to see them again. But it was way too short. I cannot wait for Thanksgiving!

Just a few random things:
1. This is was the opening problem in my Accounting class
"Moria Excavation LLP mines Mithril. Data concerning the....."
It kills me. Accounting should not be this funny at 7:30.

I also asked a friend of mine to do the nerdiest thing he could. So he wore his pi shirt and solved a Rubik's  cube while reciting the first 180 digits of pi!

And, of course, what would a November post be without the obligatory SNOW PICTURES!

Winter is here

TIHIF; Take Two

This is how I feel...

This is how I feel every time I wake up at a ridiculous hour to work out with Taylor:

This is how I feel in my 7:30am accounting class:

This is how I feel whenever I defeat my competition in any situation, no matter the cost:

This is how I feel when I'm watching Avatar: The Last Airbender sometimes (Lo and Li at the beach? Iroh flirting?):

This is how I feel when I remember someone's name and I can see that they don't remember mine:

This is how I feel when someone compliments me:

This is how I feel when I talk about just about everyone in my life:

The Big One Hundred

This is my 100th post on this blog! Thanks for sticking around with me this long!

To begin, may I talk about the spoon assassination? The elder's quorum in my ward put it on, and I ROCKED IT. Deanna and I teamed up and together managed to put an end to three people. They were sneaky. They were clever. But we took them down. This is me stalking my first target.

And a bunch of people in Reeder (and Amanda and I) went to a great bonfire. We roasted everything from funnel cakes to starbursts to hot dogs to marshmallows. It was excellent.

And just a random chair that was sideways in the back of my building. It filled me with such happiness and sadness. To quote Sally Sparrow, "I like sad things. They're happy for deep people." another random happy thing was stopping behind an exact replica of my car. We bonded.

The following pictures are a collection of Halloween. From pumpkin carving contests to insane friends to creepy costumes by myself to those with coworkers to awesome in class demonstrations.

And once upon a time, I had a lot more pictures, but then they got deleted in transit between my phone and my computer. Things that happened since I last posted:

1. Taylor Harman entered a pumpkin TREBUCHET competition. And it was totally legitimate. I loved it.
2. I went on a date with Kocoum, formerly known as Hakuna Matata. We shot guns in the canyon; it was so awesome!
3. I wrote an entire letter in Spanish to my dear Savannah, now on her mission (well, at least in the MTC)
4. I finally finished my roommate portraits!

And life is so dang good. Shout out to all of my wonderful friends in Reeder. And my amazing girls in Relief Society. And my stupendous roommates. And my great great family.
You. You are great.

:D
